How to choose the AI video model for your brand

With a dozen frontier models, the question is no longer “which is best?” but “which for this?”. Here’s how I decide on each project.

Start with the goal

Dialogue and realism? Veo 3.1. Multi-shot story and cost? Kling 3.0. Length and 4K? Seedance 2.5. The goal beats the hype of the month.

Budget and volume

For 100+ clips a month, cost per clip decides. Kling wins on volume; Veo is reserved for hero pieces. Mixing models by each piece’s role is the efficient move.

Timeline

If the deadline is tight, the model that iterates fast and nails the final format first wins. Speed is a model decision too.

The factor that doesn’t change
